Hi Guys and Gals,
Steve (RO) and I have been home an hour or so and I would like to say that it has been a great day. It was lovely to see all those bikers taking part in a worthwhile cause and lovely also to meet and re-meet some fellow USRs. Not to mention my confidence levels have risen thanks to having no choice but to block junctions and then get back to the front when I had expected to be a "static" USR today! Now I know I can do it! ;D
Only down bit was coming home - oh dear did I need a change of pants and a drink when we got here - the winds on the M2 were so bad that at one point I actually got blown into the next lane - eeeek! :o Then on the M25 it hailed on us! Yuk!
Hope to see you again soon.
PS: Stem/Christine - we are happy to host a BBQ ;D ;D but definitely bring at least a sausage. Or see RO re a room?
Talking about the the A2. Anyone seen Bob? I think he was washed away just before Bluewater. I only realised he had gone when I arrived at the Hog Roast and the other riders asked me what had happened to the other USR.
I hope Bob's OK. He's planning to go today I think so will no doubt update peeps then. I suspect he didn't fancy hog roast in that weather!
I didn't take many pics bit here's a few - ig you look carefully you can see Christine hiding in one of them and Stem pretending the camera is not there! ;D
