Improvements to the USR Programe

Hi,
As you're aware we are always looking at improving things for us when out on the road.. well im most happy to announce that as of next weekends rides we now have a Command and Control person.. this will help track us on the road and assist when needed, more details to follow.

Am really happy to say that Bob Tobias has stepped up and offered to help, currently Bob is bikeless so unable to ride with us but in helping us with the C&C he is with us in spirit and also watching us using WeRide

We are always looking at ways to make things safe when on the road and the introduction of a C&C will, in my opinion help reduce our risk just that bit more.

Concept is...

   
• All USR riders turning up at a starting point HAVE to call C&C to register arrival
• All Leaders leaving a starting point HAVE to call C&C a few mins before riding
• C&C will monitor all the rides for progress both by phone call updates and track using WERIDE where available
• Any incidents need to be reported to C&C who will pass on details to relevant body (police or ambulance sorta thing)
• C&C will contact either myself or STEM on ride completion, ie all 4 rides have arrived/passed the next starting point
• Any USR rider having to leave ride is obliged to call C&C and advise now offline just so we know you're safe

Yes its a bit more rigid/strict but i believe it will enhance our already practised skills

I have added Bob and will get Pen to load the app so he can keep tabs on us. Pen should have most of the contact details and can pass them on to Bob.
