Phoenix Christmas Toy Run to Rutherford School
The Unity Support Riders are busy planning another festive event on our calender. The USR volunteers are proud to support to this charitable event again.

Phoenix Motorcycle Training are again going to Rutherford School (for children with profound learning difficulties) in Croydon, South London. This school receives no external funding and they very much look forward to us arriving as their only Toy Run sponsor each year.

The USRs will be supporting the charity during the planning stages, sharing our experience of route and event planning. We will also be out on the day providing on-road marshalling and support to the riders.

Njinga's Santa Charity Cycle 2024
That time of year is fast approaching & the Unity Support Riders are busy planning the first of the festive events on our calender. The USR volunteers are proud to support to this charitable event again.

For the last 11 years, along with 100s of other cycling Santas, the Njinga's have cycled their 17 km route from Richmond, SW London to deliver gifts to the incredible children at Shooting Star Children's Hospice in Hampton who are suffering with life limiting illnesses.

It’s grown from humble beginnings 12 years ago to an annual must do activity on the Richmond Festive season calendar.

Since starting this journey with Shooting Star they have delivered nearly 6000 Christmas presents to the kids and raised tens of thousands of pounds for this fantastic charity.

The USRs will be supporting the charity during the planning stages, sharing our experience of route and event planning. We will also be out on the day providing on-road marshalling and support to the cyclists.

Having supported the Calne Bike Meet ride outs for many years, our Chairperson (Chris) and Treasurer (Colin) were pleased to accept a cheque for £450.00 from the organisers in gratudude of our ongoing support. The monies will help us train new USRs, provide ongoing training for existing USRs, and continued investment in the Unity Support Riders organisation to help us support charities into the future.
